My husband and I recently returned from our second trip to Playa Mujeres, and we're ready to book another trip for next year. Our last trip was short and sweet (just a long weekend from Fri-Mon), but it was wonderful to be pampered by all of the concierge staff. For both trips, we upgraded to the Excellence Club, and it was well worth the extra money. We stayed in Building 7 the first time, which gives you a nice view of the main pool, garden area and the beach. This last time we were in Building 9, which was much more private and closer to the beach. We'll definitely request that building NEXT time! The only complaint I have, if you can call it that, is that the place is remarkably quiet, even when the hotel is full. Because the majority of the guests are there for romantic occasions, a lot of them tend to keep to themselves. We did meet a few nice folks, but we've decided that if we return, we'll make a point to come with some friends. All in all, the place is gorgeous, the staff aims to please, and for the price, you can't find a more luxurious resort to stay.
